Special Operations Radio Team Inc. (SORT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 83-3672364) dedicated to providing rapid-deployment emergency communications and support services during disasters, missing persons events, and severe weather incidents.

SORT is comprised of current and former first responders with expertise in public safety and amateur radio communications. Our mission is to enhance public safety response through rapid, expeditionary deployment of reliable communications infrastructure and skilled personnel.

SORT provides:

⦁ Emergency communications during disasters and catastrophic events

⦁ Search and rescue coordination, including drone support and citizen volunteer management

⦁ Severe weather spotting and reporting in coordination with the National Weather Service

⦁ Training and outreach through Amateur Radio education and public safety exercises

By integrating advanced communications technology, field experience, and a commitment to public service, SORT strengthens the resilience and readiness of communities during critical incidents
